Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and us for using Paragraph. You agree to them when you sign up. Please read them with our privacy page, which explains what we do with your data.

Who we are

Paragraph is provided by Raith Software Limited, a company registered in Scotland (number SC855772), registered office H5 Newark Road South, Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland, KY7 4NS. You can reach us at privacy@paragraph.golf.

A free beta

Paragraph is in beta. It's free while it is, and it's still being built: features will change, things may break, and there may be times it isn't available. We may also end the beta. If we do, or if we start charging, we'll tell you first, and you'll be able to download your data.

Who can use it

• You must be 18 or over. The first time you sign in, we ask you to confirm that and to agree to these terms and our privacy page, and we keep a record of it.
• One account per person, for your own golf.
• You're responsible for keeping your Google or Microsoft sign-in secure.

Your data stays yours

You own the shots, rounds, notes and files you upload. You let us store what is in them, work with it and show it back to you, and send them to the services named on the privacy page, only to run Paragraph for you. You can download or delete it at any time in Settings.

Only upload data that's yours, or that you have permission to upload.

Information, not advice

The numbers, charts and summaries are information about your own data. They're only as good as the data your launch monitor or app recorded, and summaries are written automatically, so they can be wrong. They aren't coaching, fitting or professional advice: use your own judgement, and your coach's.

Fair use

Please don't:

• try to get into anyone else's account or data;
• overload, attack or get around the limits of the service, or scrape it;
• use it for anything unlawful.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, and everything in it is deleted with it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, telling you why unless the law stops us, and you'll be able to download your data first unless that would be unlawful.

What we're responsible for

We'll run Paragraph with reasonable care and skill. As it's a free beta, it's provided as it is, and we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We aren't responsible for losses you couldn't have expected when you started using it, or for decisions you make based on its numbers.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Paragraph changes. We'll update the date at the top and, for a significant change, tell you in the app and ask you to agree again before it applies to you.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by Scots law, and the Scottish courts can hear any dispute about them. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protections your own country's consumer law gives you, and you can bring a claim in your own courts.
